Book of Drawings ( Artist Alex Fuentes )

Alex Fuentes is a self taught artist / illustrator who is heavily influenced by work medias such as graffiti and comic books. He is stationed in Los Angeles. He is well known for his wide use of medias, some of the medias he uses are markers, pens, inks, digital and a long list more of them, but no matter what he illustrates he always keeps his own style and rhythm in each piece of work that he creates and he trys to push he style more over to the comic book genre.

This is my favorite illustration that he has produced, the things that makes me enjoy this illustration so much is because number 1 it has used the iconic movie pose from the film "King Kong" and i think that this helps the main image stand out among the rest of the piece, number 2 he has added his own style of horror to the iconic creature by giving it 6 giant arms and has illustrated bats flying around the peak of the creature just like bats do in a tall building in a horror film, number 3 i like how he has digital created it with how each line is in proportion and as crisp the main imagine and how he has used alot of block color in the piece can only be achieved digitally and even with the use of all the dark colors it stills pops out like a sore thumb.
