Hannah Firmin creates beautiful bold illustrations of animals and creates patterns with the images that she produces. The way that she works attracts my attention the most because of how they use thick black lines with different sizes and it makes the image stand out more from the colours and backgrounds. The media that she uses in her illustrations is by using inks and water colours and this works well with the thick bold lines.
Here she has illustrated 2 rabbits curving into each other with flowers patterned around the rest of the image. The main thing that stands out to me is how all the lines are bold and stand out more then the actual colouring of the illustration. I like how she has used single brush strokes heading in a single direction helps add the texture of fur and depth to the illustrations of the rabbits, also how she uses lines to add a diffrent technique of shading to the image and make her not look like a 1 trick pony and makes the actual shading using colour stand out a lot more.
