digital Illustration ( Artist Ben Voldman )

Ben Voldman is a illustrator who is located in New York city but is from Paris. The best way to describe his work is by using the quote at the top of his webpage, " Ben Voldman is a illustrator and designer who specializes in cute and quirky editorial advertising illustrations ". Here is a link to his work if you are interested in his work.http://www.benvoldman.com/

The way his illustrations come across is that each character, object and scenery is made up out of plaster sine or play dough and they reason he has got this effect to his work is because he most adapt to using digital illustration so he is able to edit his photos to look like they are made from any materiel and still manage to keep detail from the original image.

Here he has created a illustration of a city that is getting looked down from the sky. If you look carefully into the image you can see certain symbols such as a penguin, blue bird and a blue thumbs up and these resemble social networking sites and games such as Facebook and Twitter and the reason i think he has included these symbols into the illustration is because i believe that social networking sites is almost like its own city or culture because they are such a huge part of peoples lives now and this illustration almost shows a city that is the home for all the users of these sites.
What i like the most about this illustration is how he has kept all the buildings, people, cars and symbols in a simple manner but because he has put them all together to make up one hole image it creates its own in depth detail and using this way of work help your illustrations become very child friendly.
