Katharine Asher is a illustrator who is most know for her illustrations for the fashion design community but she is also known for her illustrations of nature and animals. In her work she mainly uses water colours to create her illustrations and i believe that water colour is uses to much in a certain way but the way that she uses her water colour talent into her illustration stands out because she doesnt use guide lines nor out lines she uses the water colour to create each section of the illustration and if a certain section of the illustration has a highlight to it she will then paint around that area and leave it blank so its a natural highlight that is created by the paper.
Here is a illustration that she has created of a crain and this has no detail to the image at all but they way she has shaded and blended the water colours in the centre of the crain makes the image look like it has clouds inside it and that resembles the crains ability to fly and the fact she has used dark colours for the crain makes me think that she has used them to represent a storm, this is saying that the power of the crains wing can conquer this storm but that is just what i recieve from this image.
