Here are some sketches that i have done of a tattooed life model, we were given set time frames to complete each sketch whether it was 30 seconds, 5 minutes or even 15 minutes.
Here is a quick 30 second sketch that i did, my main priority of these 30 second sketches is being able to set up a quick draft of the life models proportions and see where i can add more or less to the proportions.
This is a illustration of the life model pulling a pose where he holds his arm behind his head, i will need to add my width to his lower stomac and his overall legs.
Here i have done a simple sketch of of the life model faceing away from me and i like how the shoulder width is acceptable but i dont like how his hand looks like he has one arm more thicker then the other and this isnt the correct proportions that i was hoping for.
I like this sketch of the life models over all torso because it looks muscular but also looks skinny at the same time, i mainly focused on the proportions of the torso in this sketch, the only thing i can see to improve is the shoulder blades need to be able to go from thick to thin.
Here i have illustrated the life model as a silhouette sitting on a chair, i over all like this image because his bodys proportion are relatively correct and how the shape of the chair have a crazy misshaped look to it and it stands out to me.
I have done a sketch of a the life model laying down facing away from me, the way i have used his shoulder blade to almost over shadow the centre part of his body shows that i have sketched him from a looking down point of view, my only flaw with this illustration is of the waist down because of the size and misshaped legs, waist and feet.
Here i have illustrated the shape of the background and the chair he was sat on to create the outline of the life model instead of actually illustrating the outline of the life model, i like this technique because it gives you a shape that you couldnt get off the top of your head.
For this sketch i have sketched him faceing away from me laying down using his right arm to hold his head up, i like the proportions used in his hand but i see to many flaws in this sketch such as his shoulder blade is to far down his back and his wrist is to thin.
This sketch i have done is of the life model laying down faceing forward, i like the shape of the head i have used and i think the proportions used for his head and torso works well and fits the life models actual body build.
Here i have done 3 sketchs of the life model the first one is of him sat down faceing to the right, i havnt put much detail into this illustration because i was trying to line up the shapes for his proportions, the second one is of my attempt of putting detail into his head and try to get the proportions of his face correct but i still feel like his face is flat and lacking in shape from the beard and nose, the third one is of a close up sketch of his face that i have done, i was mainly focusing on creating the shape of his brow, nose and mouth and i think with this last sketch i have achieved these aspects.
