people and characters - Character zombie - Development ( designs for the wall )

For this unit we got put into groups of 4 were we had to work together to create a illustration to cover up a large section of a wall, my group decided to create a illustration of a biker who has taken a substance which creates a crazy psychedelic background that consists of zombies, ships, zombie mushroom and a psychedelic sky that is made up out of colours and swirls.

Here is my first illustration of a zombie character that i will be developing to eventually put onto the wall, i like the proportions i have used in this illustration but im not to fond of the face so i will need to add more detail to the zombies face and maybe give it a more zombie like pose.

Here i have illustrated another zombie that is bent over drooling with a gormless expression on his face. This is the way zombies should be, expressionless and confused so this illustration meets the criteria but the way the zombies body is seems to cartoon like with his over exaggerated torso and short stumpy legs.

Here i have illustrated a zombie that is walking towards the person looking at him, i like how the hands and feet are positioned but i think that the clothes he is wearing makes him look like he is melting away and also his face seems to have the expression of happiness and that doesn't fit the criteria of my view of zombies.

Here i have tryed to illustrate the zombies face only to help me understand what proportions i need to add and where should i put the shading at detail, this is by no means my final idea of what the zombies face should look like because it still seems to humorous for my liking.

At this point i decided to add a bit of shape to my design of the zombie so i then tried to make the zombie look fat so it helps him pop up out of the page, i have tried get the proportions right for the zombies design, i think in the proportions i have done i need to add more detail to the arms and legs.

Here i have illustrated a zombie butler, the only thing i like about this illustration is the face of the zombie the rest seems to be to much like Frankenstein instead of a traditional zombie which wasn't what i was aiming to do.

Here i have started to develop the zombies body and from this sketch i can see i have the arms and head correct in my opinion but i will want to add a bit more weight to the zombie and maybe change his facial features. 

Here is my final design of the zombie that i wanted to have on the wall. What i like about this illustration is how it doesnt have much detail in it but the facial expression accomplishes the idea i wanted to express through my illustration and i am also happy with the outcome of how the zombies body is all in proportion.
