People and Character Illustrations ( Eiichiro Oda )

Eiichiro Oda is one of the most famous Japanese manga artists and who has created one of the most famous and longest running manga and anime series in the world, One Piece which is also one of my person favourites, Eiichiro says the work that has inspired him to become a manga artist is from Akira Toriyama who is also a legend in the manga and anime world.

Here on the left side of the page is a relativly new design from between 2013 to 2014 that Eiichiro has illustrated and on the right is a illustration that he created in the very first episode for One Piece and between the two you can see drastic changes between the thickness of the lines, background detail and colours used within the image and this just shows that he is willing to keep up with the newest technology and style with new animes while he still keeps the element of a older anime to the whole series.

Here are the illustrated of the manga that he has created, as you can see in the manga there is much more use of cross hatching for the darker parts of the illustrations and in my opinion there seems to be more depth and detail in the hole overall illustration.

My hole reason on looking at this illustrator is because he created one of my favourite tv shows and also one of my favourite characters from any other show, Monkey D Luffy, the hole reason why i find this characters design and the hole series in a hole so interesting is because of the humorous effect of snot dripping from the main characters nose for a seriouse scene and this shows that even in a seriouse situation there will always be a positive side to something whether its in the present or further in the future, i also like how he hasn't used complicated detail and colour in the anime and manga and it makes the hole thing overall simple and easy to understand.
