People and Character Illustrations ( Artist Jamie Hewlett )

Jamie Christopher Hewlett is a illustrator from England who specialises in comic books but is most know for his illustrations for the band know as the Gorillaz, he also helped with the comic book known as tank girl. I have been a big fan of Jamie Hewlett for a good 2 years now and i will carry on being a fan of his work because of how he has his own original grundgey style and approach to each illustration he created,

Here is a illustration of the characters used to represent the band Gorillaz, as you can first see is how all the characters have a very dirty rocker look to them and match the statement of grundgey that i said earlyer. The way he used a mixture of thin and thick lines to add shape to every aspect of the characters body, I also like how he hasn't shaded the colours into the image instead he has used a bold darker colour over the top of the image and just slowly used a lighter colour to help it blend in but with our merging the colours.
