People and Character Illustrations - Development ( Biker sketches )

At the beginning of this unit we had to draw sketches of a life model who was also a biker, I did a mixture of quick rough sketches and slow detailed sketches. Here are a few pictures i took of the life model.

Here are 4 pictures i took of the life model, for each picture i took it was of a different angel of him, i did this to get detail from his coat, face, bike and trousers.

Here i have done a quick sketch of the proportions of the life model, i think that the arm could be a lot smaller and thinner and make the head slightly larger.

Here i have done a quick sketch of the hole life model, i like how the biker is positioned on the bike but the bike looks like a mobility scooter so i will need to put more detail into the bike.

Here i have illustrated the front of the life model and i have tryed to get the proportions of his face correct and i have also used simple shapes to represent badges on his jacket, i will change his jackets length and width to help it look more like a jacket instead of a turtle neck, i will also add more detail to his hair and beard.

Here i have done a close up sketch of the life models face, i all around do not like this sketch because the head of the life model has no shape and his hair is to flat so i will need to get the proportions better for the life models head.

Here i haven't so much done a illustration of the character but more of the bike, the reason i have done this is because the bike is what makes the character so much more interesting so having a detailed illustration of the bike will help make the overall image much more appealing.

Out of all of my sketches that i have done of the life model this is so far my best because the proportions are in the correct position and size my only problem is the size of the head and how he looks upset so i will need to try to re design his eyes so he doesn't look as upset.

Here is my final sketch of the biker and i have sketched him so he looks like he is sat on the bike, the entire illustrations proportions work well but as i have pointed out before the only problem is the face, i will have to add more detail into the face.
