Ronald Searle is one of britians most famous illustrators for his cartoons and uses of reportage.
I like how he keeps every single bit of detail in the image that he sees in the illustration but still manages to keep it looking rushed like reportage and his style of being a cartoonist within the illustration.
Here Ronald has done a illustration of a scene from Las Vegas in the mid nineties, what i like about this illustration is how hes put great proportion into each aspect of the illustration and detail but he has also kept the hole illustration in a cartoon like style. What i think he has used for this illustration is either a quill and ink or a paint brush and ink.
Here is another illustration that he has created and this one is of a burning building that has been caused by a group of woman and i asume that it is a group of witchs, this entire image is revolved around death because of the use of deaths, bats, crows, vultures and skulls. The image has been used by water colours and inks and i like how its a bit like a wheres wally book by how their is so much to look at you cant keep your eye on one spot.
